Title: Recent Advances in Computational Cosmology
Abstract: The formation of large scale structure in the Universe is sufficiently well understood that we can use the distribution of galaxies to infer the cosmological parameters within 1% accuracy and possibly discover new physics. Precision cosmology requires however to understanding possible theoretical systematic effects coming from our calculations. I will discuss the current level of precision of several popular N body simulation codes.I will also describe emulation techniques to provide surrogate models for the non-linear correction to the matter power spectrum, and finally discuss baryonic effects as an important source of systematics.
