Join us for a special MSI/AstroMcGill public talk on July 19th at 7pm! Our speaker is Dr. Patrick Breysse from New York University, who will tell us all about the first billion years of the Universe!
Dr. Breysse will walk us through the cosmic darks ages to the birth of the first stars, describing how they illuminated the dark sky and burned off the fog of the early Universe. He’ll explain to us how astronomers can take pictures of this cosmic dawn and peer back 13 billion years.
Come see this fascinating talk in the room 204 of the McConnell building - it will also be live-streamed on Youtube: link https://youtu.be/20nCCEzqCks
Take the opportunity to ask all the questions you have about cosmology, in person or in the Youtube chat, in French or in English!
See you there!
**This talk will be given in English.**
